This offer ends April 29! Don't put it off again...
Did you hire at least one employee in 2012 or so far in 2013?
You may very well be entitled to $2,400 per employee from the federal government.
On Friday, March 8 the IRS issued a ruling extending the time employers wanting to claim the federal Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) have to file Form 8850, the form they need to issue the credit. (See: IRS Notice 2013-14). This form is normally due within 28 days of an employee’s start date. If you hired an eligible employee in 2012 (or so far in 2013) and missed that deadline, your business lost up to $2,400 per employee.
But, due to the 2012 hiatus of the WOTC law, many employers were unsure how and when to obtain their WOTC Certificate and unfortunately just let it go. Under the March 8 extension, the IRS has given employers who hired a WOTC eligible employee between January 1, 2012 and March 31, 2013 the ability to qualify for this money credit by completing the required paperwork by April 29, 2013.
What does this mean for your business?
If you hired one or more eligible employees during the period covered by the extension, you have thousands of dollars to which you are entitled by law. In just a few minutes of your time, you can save thousands of after tax dollars due to this rare circumstance.

How do I know if my employee qualifies, and how can I take advantage?
The easiest way to identify which of your employees qualifies you for this one-time WOTC deadline extension is to first identify all employees hired between January 1, 2012 and today (through March 21, 2013). Next, you will need to have those employees complete and sign two IRS forms to submit to the appropriate WOTC Coordinator’s Office.
